Wake Up You Merry Minion
Wake Up You Merry Minion
A poem by Michael Joseph Farrelly
Comply, comply from morn to night
Sleep your way to oblivion
Of course we care we shine the light
Obey, obey merry minion
Question not our narrative
'cause you will feel our censor
Our mask of nous not furtive
Embrace your merry mentor
Unthinking men, now they make sense
You see, a sore arm is for all
A tender glance of innocence
Some can't see their chain and ball
A promise land lay beckoning
With comfort from a piper's lure
The captive mind impending
It's herd instinct, can't ignore
It is now, as it ever were
Serfdom ne'er left the land
It's time to lift this veil kind sir
It's now time to raise your hand
Freedom looked in disbelief
At the green man's merry mission
The herd are not to mourn their beef
Wake up you merry minion
Ye are many, they are few
Shelley, this was his notion
Break free your life of thrall, it's due
Wake up you merry minion
Whilst The Many do not know
The power of coalition
The Few fear this passive foe
Wake up you merry minion
Time is short waive the ego
Take down this broken vision
Money fears the gadfly glow
Wake up you merry minion
Great quotes are not where you find great wisdom. It's where you share this knowledge that counts
