There Is A Place I Go

A poem by Michael Joseph Farrelly

Beyond most bounds of mind
There is a place I go
It's where my poles unwind
And peaceful thoughts can flow

I dream of what I like
So there's no hate or war
Just spiritual delight
Wrapped up in tales of lore

There's music in the air
It feeds our common soul
The sound of life to share
A dance to transcend whole

I dream of what should be
'cos real food can feed all
Fresh water running free
With nature walking tall

To grow in soil with seed
To farm from field to fork
Produce for fam'ly need
Fresh crop of leaf or stalk

I dream of future tense
Free speech is back in vogue
Revert to common sense
No more the feudal rogue

The young are taught to think
Discard the senseless rote
Learn real life skills in sync
A place where visions float

I dream of what will be
The consciousness of man
Awareness is the key
Enlightenment will span

No more there be systems
That benefit the few
Lean on ancient wisdoms
Let kindness be your cue

Beyond most bounds of mind
There is a place I go
It's where my poles unwind
And visioned thoughts will glow

Great quotes are not where you find great wisdom. It's where you share this knowledge that counts

Sharing Is Caring
