The Big Picture

The Big Picture
A poem by Michael Joseph Farrelly
Roll up, roll up, pick your side
The big picture will reveal
Your opinion what a ride
With tastes formed as you feel
Your mirrored mind, what came first
The seed or half formed rant
Watered daily 'til well versed
So old views now recant
Untimely thoughts can't be held
Lest they cloud the fawning mind
The other side must be quelled
Their words must be maligned
Roll up, roll up, pick your side
The big picture does not care
Who you choose for your guide
The clique to which you swear
All groups they are useful
Hence it's crucial that you choose
To join the ranks of faithful
That divides all bond by ruse
Opt for red, green or blue
The monied hand owns all
Fight each other for what's true
Within bounds that they call
Roll up, roll up, pick your side
The big picture stays the same
It's no matter how you're fried
In rigged fields with no shame
Don't look up you cannot see
The game that's being played
Rules for you but not for me
Shut-up lest not get paid
Make the most your only chance
'Cos you're never in control
The big picture is finance
A darkened shadow soul
Roll up, roll up, pick no side
Their big picture can be sacked
It can't work with no divide
If you don't interact
Pure non-participation
In all their parloured schemes
Just courage of conviction
Middle-finger bent regimes
Peaceful non-compliance
Is all you need to know
No more blind obedience
To rigged systems of woe
Great quotes are not where you find great wisdom. It's where you share this knowledge that counts
Sharing Is Caring
"The Big Picture" - My Inspiration
Choosing sides doesn't work in rigged systems.
