Coy Cats Pause Forethought

Coy Cats Pause Forethought
A poem by Michael Joseph Farrelly
Cats are carbon, they must burn
Eugenics painted green
For time served club of yearn
Whose plans are so obscene
If club in Rome, you will see
A fleshed out book of ledger
Who may live, who might not be
A feline future wager
What these cats wrote, believe them
They meant ev'ry word they said
The origins ahem
Should fill you all with dread
Don't believe their rewrites
These ravened cats desire
Less claw in all cat rights
That castrate your inner fire
They'd like us drowned in fear
To sell our souls for brunch
Lives are not for sale see here
No kittens served for lunch
A coy cats pause forethought
Is what is needed now
Say no to all cats bought
Cry freedom now meow
Norm cats we have numbers
The housed and feral strays
Be no more in our slumbers
Subject to virtual ways
More thunder from our tongue
Less lightning to their claw
Will lead to less paws swung
So streets can jaw not war
No more these feline spectres
Scratching kitty from above
Name names of tom-cat gangsters
Making rules for death not love
No more the kibbled chew
We want organic now
All nine lives will renew
With healthy food to chow
Cat parley let's agree
Or puss with boots on ground
To secure all feline free
Strong tom-voice must be found
This coy cats pause forethought
For what is needed now
Say no to all cats bought
Cry freedom now meow
Great quotes are not where you find great wisdom. It's where you share this knowledge that counts
