Cats And Candles

A poem by Michael Joseph Farrelly

Hello karma feel my mind
Judge me not by gavelled hand
Some bad deeds but most were kind
Seen through eyes both bland and grand

A life of hills to climb
Through unspoilt silhouettes
But impatience can't feel time
It just churns and pirouettes

Spinning minds with handles
The story's in the fix
Just like cats and candles
They're things that do not mix

Look deep beneath your ire
Past the pain of ego
Wading through vain desire
To where your dreams are lingo

Listen to your thinking heart
Your native soul is pure
Where your ideas are art
A soothing mind succour

Immerse yourself in karma
See your creation shared
It's life without the drama
Where kindness can be aired

It is the gift of giving
That imparts a piece of you
It's what makes life worth living
Watching grateful eyes ensue

A gift creates goodwill
Slow circles of exchange
A caring culture pill
That gifts slowly arrange

Your destiny of life
Spans the goodness of your soul
When your caring side is rife
Your persona it is whole

Giving is part of nature
Absorb it you will find
A caring/sharing culture
Loops back circles that will bind

Great quotes are not where you find great wisdom. It's where you share this knowledge that counts

Sharing Is Caring

"Cats And Candles" - My Inspiration

Recognising that the gift of giving is what makes life worth living.

Winston Churchill described it thus:

"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give".
